LEGO Star Wars 2013 Advent Calendar Revealed

BrickUltra have just posted two images of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar (75023) for the end of this year. They say that From Bricks to Bothans were the original people who published the photos, but I haven’t found any such articles related to this on FBTB. Possible sources could include Brickipedia, Flickr or even Brickset (if anyone does know where they originated, please let me know in the comments). Even though we don’t know exactly where the images came from, we can now have a little sneak peek at the calendar.

75023 LEGO Star Wars Advent CalendarThis latest LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar has 9 minifigures (Young Boba Fett, Santa Jango Fett, Scout Trooper, R5-F7, Rebel Commando, Clone Trooper, Battle Droid, Geonosian Pilot and FA-4), assumed to be around UK£24.99 (the price of last years one) and is scheduled to come out in September 2013.75023 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar 2

Notice how the minifigures in this calendar seem to be included because of Episode 2 coming out in 3D soon and the 30th anniversary of the sixth Star Wars film, Return of the Jedi in May (for example, Jango and Young Boba Fett are both in Episode 2 and the Rebel Commando and Scout Trooper are both in Episode 6). This also happened in last years one with the Santa Darth Maul one (Episode 1 was coming out in 3D then).

What do you think of this upcoming 2013 LEGO advent calendar? Which LEGO Star Wars Santa costume do you like the most (Yoda, Darth Maul or Jango Fett)?

  1. mother and sister who grew up with brother loving legos

What is going on with the violent themed lego advent calendars?! It is hugely disappointing. In general, I’ve moved away from gifting legos all together because it seems impossible to find a minifig lego sans an angry face or gun. As a young mother, I was surprised while shopping with my son– it was with legos brand that he observed guns and shooting -asking why they are shooting at each other. He wanted a “little lego guy” forever. Unfortunately that time in the store has truly overshadowed the happy memories of my brothers sorting through their legos on the holidays. It’s easy to say, get over it, but in reflection, what our society deems appropriate to instill in impressionable young minds, should not be taken lightly by any individual or any powerful business.
