Two weeks ago, we reported on some new LEGO Legends of Chima video games that are to be released soon. One of those games was called “LEGO Legends of Chima Online” which was, at the time, thought to be some sort of online game or MMOG.

The game is currently being developed by WB Games Montreal and is set to be released free to play on LEGO.com in fall 2013. Apparently, players will be able to create and customize their kingdom in Chima and explore the world as well as taking on missions for rewards. From these preliminary images, the graphics and play look quite good. Additional images and a description from LEGO and WB below:

In Fall 2013, LEGO® Legends of Chima™ Online, a free-to-play, online world developed by WB Games Montréal, will provide kids with a safe and incredibly immersive connected game experience. Players will be able to build and customize their kingdom in the world of Chima™, explore massive environments like the Falling Leaves Forest, take on missions to help Laval and his friends, uncover hidden secrets and treasures, earn rewards, and use LEGO bricks to build weapons, gadgets, and more!

What do you think about this new Chima Massively Multiplayer Online Game? Are you looking forward to it? Funcom is also developing a different MMOG based on the immensely popular LEGO Collectable Minifigures theme at the moment, so I wonder how two LEGO online games will go at the same time…. :D
